UNI Recognizes 2013 Bright Scholars
The University of Northern Iowa, in cooperation with the UNI Foundation, honored its 2013 Bright Scholars at a recent luncheon. The scholars include:
- Amy Nordyke
- Zachary Rye
- Jesse Sorenson
- Bailey St. Clair
- Ann Strom
Judy Ruud, wife of UNI President William Rudd, attended the reception as a special guest. Also in attendance were:
- Brenda Bass – Interim Dean, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
- Mary Herring – Associate Dean, College of Education
- Joel Haack – Dean, College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences
- Farzad Moussavi – Dean, College of Business Administration
- Bill Calhoun – Vice President for University Advancement
- Joyce Morrow – Director, Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Bob Fanter – Director, the Bright Foundation
- Wes Ritchie – Director, the Bright Foundation
In addition, 2012 Bright Scholar Garrett Miller spoke with the new scholars about his experience during his first year on campus. Bailey St. Clair spoke about her first month attending UNI, and Jesse Sorenson thanked the Bright Foundation for its financial support.
